Workshop at the Winery - DAY TWO

The project for Day Two was Orange-Line Painting --

They wasted no time in finding their references, mixing their orange watercolor paint, and starting to "draw" their shapes with their brushes.  No pencils allowed today --

After a little worry about not being able to use a pencil (or an eraser!) -- they all soon learned that they could do this -- and do it very well!

We all mixed our own orange color, so there was a nice variety of color in the paintings -- from red-orange to orange to yellow-orange.

It's so much fun to walk around the room and see the beautiful paintings emerge . . .

So much concentration!  I think everyone was tired by the end of the day.

Demonstration of how to mix a black -- and then paint the background.

No one finished, of course --
but it was still fun, and helpful, to see everyone's work, at the end of the day.
