This was the first day of my last watercolor workshop at my home/studio in Durango. We will be moving in the spring of 2017, so this one -- my 11th four-day workshop here -- was bittersweet.

All set up . . . waiting for everyone to arrive. |

Royal is waiting patiently for the ladies to arrive |
The project for our first day was the Color Wheel Mandala.
We had a wonderful group of 12 women.
A few were here for the first time, while others had been coming for 9 or 10 years!

Still smiling . . . always a good sign. |

Time for a break! |
After lunch, everyone started on the Radial Design/ Negative Painting part of the Color Wheel.
At the end of the day, we all gathered together, to share our Color Wheels and a glass of wine . . .
What a great way to start off the weekend -- looking forward to tomorrow!
It seems like this was very productive workshop for people who were attending it. Many people draw using water color so it must have helped them a lot to learn different water coloring techniques. Pictures are good.
