Hi Pat, after reading over all the info on your retreat in July and speaking with my daughter and daughter in law, we are very interested in joining the group. What worries me is the altitude. Once , years ago while visiting Denver, I had difficulty breathing and it was very unpleasant. Wondering about the altitude in Estes Park.
ReplyDeleteHi, Joyce -- I'm glad that you're interested in the retreat. What a fun thing to do with your daughters! I understand your concern with the altitude, however. Estes Park is at a higher elevation than Denver, probably around 8,000 feet. (Denver is a mile high - 5280 feet). Now, we aren't going to be doing anything too strenuous, like hiking, and we will urge everyone to drink lots of water the whole time you're here. But, that is definitely something you will need to consider, Joyce.

ReplyDeleteI'm fairly new to watercolor and have been visiting your site frequently to try out all of your tips, suggestions and workshops. I love your site and I'd love to meet you and participate in one of your workshops. I have my eye on the Ohio dates and am excited to hear more details and start planning my trip! Thanks for sharing your knowledge and for such a wonderful resource.
