On Wednesday, we started our 2nd project, "Painting like Matisse" . . .
After choosing a number of different photo references and drawing a grid on our paper, we all started "drawing" with a brush and turquoise (or orange) paint (no pencils were allowed after drawing the grid)

Time out for some lunch . . .
After drawing all the shapes with the aqua or orange paint, it was time to paint the bright colors.
It was a busy and productive day, and quitting time came too soon. We were all looking forward to returning tomorrow to finish both of our projects -- hopefully, after getting a good night's sleep. . .
